Description:
Diagnosed with HIV, this patient was previously exhibiting a chronic mucocutaneous type of herpes lesion for a month. Those oral lesions, commonly known as “cold sores” or “fever blisters” are caused by the Herpes Simplex virus type 1. They are technically referred to as “recurrent herpes labialis.”
